A waterfront setting on 30 Road — one of the newer venues in the valley, and one of our favourites to work.
Sky Lake Events opened recently on 30 Road in Grand Junction, and we have worked three weddings here since October 2025 with another already on the calendar. New venues usually come with a learning curve for everyone involved. This one did not. The team runs it like they have been doing it for years, which is a genuine compliment and not a small one.
The water is the whole point. It gives you a ceremony backdrop you do not have to decorate and a reception that looks good as the light drops, and it changes how sound behaves — open water carries music further than a field does, which we plan for rather than fight.
It is inside Grand Junction, so there is no travel fee and we can be set up early without making a day of the drive. For couples who want somewhere that does not look like everywhere else but do not want to send their guests out of town, this is the one we bring up first.
Every Firefly wedding starts with the same foundation: Nathan on the mic and the music for your whole day, a separate PA and microphone for the ceremony so your vows carry, wireless mics for toasts, and a dance floor paced to keep guests up and out of their seats. Kyann runs the open-air Photo Booth — instant prints, custom templates, props, and a backdrop.
Ceremony audio is included, not an add-on — and extras like uplighting and dance-floor lighting are there when you want the space to do more. See how it prices out on our pricing page, or have a look at the vendors we hand our couples to.
